AJNA

The last group we are introducing to you dance in a piece called "Ajna". It was created by Aurora de Mori for the 2021 Noverre-Society Young Choreographers. It was premiered on the 19th of April 2021 and it is the fifth piece that she creates for Noverre. Last year she made her first piece for the Stuttgart Ballet named "Aliunde Levi" which was part of the mixed program "Response II".

This creation is danced by 7 dancers: Mizuki Amemiya, Aiara Iturrioz (profile), Martina Marin (profile), Martino Semenzato, Vincent Travnicek, Christopher Kunzelmann and Riccardo Ferlito.

Mizuki Amemiya

She was born in Tokyo, Japan. She received her ballet education at the private school Hattori Ayako Ballet Class in her home town. In 2014 she attended the John Cranko School in Stuttgart where she graduated in 2017. In the 17-18 season she joined the Stuttgart ballet.


Martino Semenzato

He was born in Gavardo, Italy and grew up in Venice where he began his

ballet training at Venezia Balletto, a private ballet school. In 2013 he moved to Vienna to attend the Wiener Staatsoper Ballet Academy. In 2015 he joined the Académie Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo from which he graduated in 2018. For the 18/19 season he became a member of the Stuttgart Ballet.

Christopher Kunzelmann

He was born in West Palm Beach, USA. He began his ballet training with the Florida School for Dance Education in Palm Beach Gardens. Later, he transferred to the Next Generation Ballet at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in

2013. In 2015 he came to Stuttgart to attend the JCS where he graduated in 2017. In the season 17/18 he joined the Stuttgart Ballet.

Vincent Travnicek

He was born in Mutlangen, Germany. In 2009 he started his ballet training

at the Teresa Beisswenger Ballet School in Waldstetten. As of 2011 he attended the

John Cranko School in Stuttgart from which he graduated in 2018. For the 18/19 season he was an apprentice at the Stuttgart Ballet. In the following season he joined the Corps de ballet.


Riccardo Ferlito

He was born in Berlin and grew up in Catania, Italy. He began his ballet training at the A.S.D.C. Dietro Le Quinte in Catania. In 2013 he went to the John Cranko School in Stuttgart from which he graduated in 2019. In 2010 he successfully took part in the Youth America Grand Prix in Paris where he won the third price. For the 19/20 season he was an apprentice with the Stuttgart Ballet. In the following season he became a member of Stuttgart Ballet’s Corps de ballet.

We are very happy to include another creation in this program and we thank again all the dancers that are participating. There are few days left before the date and they are getting the last hours of rehearsals to perfect their performance.
